The Warehouse District spreads itself across most of downtown Durham. Unlike most cities, Durham has decided to preserve its historical heritage from when it was a tobacco production hub. This allows citizens can enjoy gorgeous brick architecture and original vintage murals that add color to the skyline. The buildings have now been repurposed as apartments, cafes, academic labs, and art studios.
