This Duke Virtual Tour was created by Duke students Emily Poplawski, Zach Lerner, Meg Tobin, and Lacey Kim, for their Information Science + Information Studies Certificate Research Capstone in Spring of 2010. Buildings seen in the tour were crafted using Google Earth Sketch Up and are available for download on the Tour page. The intent of the tour is to do justice to Duke's beautiful campus by presenting an online tour, which circles the gothic turrets and flies through the arches. Featuring music from Duke artists and bands, the Duke Virtual Tour begins on East Campus - with its stunning Gregorian architecture and transitions to West Campus - nicknamed the Gothic Wonderland. The tour concludes at Duke's historic Cameron Indoor Stadium and K-Ville.
This tour would not have been made possible if not for Professor Victoria Szabo and Michal Koszycki's guidance and help.
We'd also like to note our board who oversaw the project from start to finish, whose feedback we found incredibly valuable and critical throughout the process.
